Long weekend...

Amy's dad is here visiting us for Easter weekend. We are having anice visit and hopefully Brent is enjoying his stay here. Yesterday we showed him the sculpure garden at the Walker museum and went to the Mall of America.

This morning they went to the temple while I went to the ward council meeting

Got to go!

Wow, Late Again....

Once again I'm falling behind in writing daily. But there always seems something that needs done. We've finally upgraded our old computer and now have something with a CD/DVD burner, not to mention an infinately faster processer. Still waiting for the monitor to come in. We're tossing our 15" CRT for a 17" LCD flatscreen. The next item to convince Amy of is a Ipod. But we both want a camcorder to record the baby's first days with - so that's the priorty.

Two short items I wrote on small scraps of paper that I want to toss:

Winter Falls quickly in MN
not with a gentle snowflake
landing on my bald spot,
but like a fastball brick
thrown by Ignatz. Like
Karzy Kat, I'm always
caught dreaming...

and then,

Americans limit what they worry
about. We worry about coll
things. Health care, social
security, North Korea-- we
don't understand it enough to
worry about. But gas prices,
road potholes and low-carb diets--
that we can deal with.

Good night Gracie.

I've been deliquent in writing every day. Yesterday was my dad's 74th birthday. 1931-2005. He certainly never thought he'd live this long. And the way his health is, he probably wishes he wouldn't live this long. I shouldn't say that, I know he wants to see his newest grandbaby.

Tonight and tomorrow Amy are going to a baby class. I guess they show us what to expect when the baby comes, both the delivery and when you take the baby home. I think that is what it is about, but not completely sure.

I'm still reading the 7th Stephen King Dark Tower book. I've really liked these books. I'm glad I'm reading them all now, rather than spaced out over the last 25 years. I think after this book, I might just read short stories for awhile. I have a couple that I've wanted to read, so it's time.

Spring had come to Minneapolis I think. The snow is melting and things are wet and sloppy looking outside. I doesn't matter where you park, there always seems to be a lake outside your door.

One of the many cute gifts for our baby! Posted by Hello

When Co-workers are good people...

it certainly makes life more enjoyable. After work today, Amy's co-workers threw her a wonderful baby shower. Amy seems loved by everyone she comes in contact with. And everyone seems so nice and professional and friendly. And they were so generous with the gifts they gave. Our baby is definitely going to end up spoiled.
